Temple Dining
Food here is not fuel — it is part of the practice. Ingredients come from local farms and mountain forests, prepared simply, in the way that has sustained Taoist practitioners for centuries. Not a menu. A rhythm.
You will not eat heavily here. But you will eat well.
Local. Seasonal. Natural.
Meals follow the seasons. Wild greens in spring. Summer fruits. Root vegetables in autumn. Warming broths in winter. It is not the chef who decides what you eat — it is the mountain.
Where the Food Comes From
Vegetables come from farms at the mountain‘s base. Tofu is made fresh by local producers each morning. Mushrooms and herbs are foraged from the mountain forests. The ingredients are good enough on their own — they need little else.
The Rhythm of Meals
Breakfast is light. Lunch is the main meal of the day. Dinner is modest and plant-based. Not too much. Nothing wasted — this is the Taoist way, and your body will thank you for it.
